Back in October, I attended Fall Getaway with Campus Crusade. It was there that I first heard about YWAM and its Discipleship Training Schools. My friend Becca and I spoke with a guy that had been part of a DTS in England just a year ago. We kept in touch after the retreat, and it was by his outstanding faith that I knew DTS had a huge impact on him. This encouraged me to look further into getting involved with YWAM as well.
Before going on, I feel the need to fill you in a bit more...
My first semester of college wasn't exactly everything I expected. Although I knew it was a great opportunity to be in college, I wasn't convinced that I was where I needed to be. On top of that, I've always felt like God was calling me to do something BIG, but I didn't know what that was, or really even what that meant.

So when I further looked into the opportunity of doing a DTS, I felt as if maybe this was one of the BIG things God was calling me to do. I came across the Creative DTS in Aalesund, Norway. This was exciting for two reasons:
1. It's an art school
2. It's in Norway (for those of you who don't know...I practically fell in love with the place when I visited there a couple years ago)

So after asking a handful of older, more experienced spiritual leaders what they thought about taking a year off from college (yes, I asked my parents too, but of course their opinions were biased :) ), and getting all positive and encouraging answers, I applied.
And now, almost 3 months later, I am so excited to know that I have been accepted to Creative DTS.

I encourage you to check out their website to learn more!
